M. Gremlin StudiosFor further information and/or registration, please email D. M. Gremlin Studios at studio@dm-gremlin.com or call 866-334-4364. In conjunction with our ongoing Intro to Studio Photo Shooting The upcoming date for the practice session is set for 7-10pm on Tuesday July 19, with model Hourglass These sessions will be offered on an ongoing basis, around once a month or as interest warrants. Like the Intro classes, each session will be limited to a maximum of four photographers, and registration fee is $60/person. Unlike the Intro classes, this will not be an 'instructor presentation' format, but instead, an open practice session with instructor present to answer questions and give guidance as needed. The focus is on allowing the participants to build skills and gain hands-on experience with setting up lighting and shooting. There will be a model on set for casual portraits and casual fashion - no nudes. You do not have to have come to a previous session of the Intro to Studio Shooting class to take part in the practice session. However, for these sessions, you should come in with a basic knowledge of shooting in manual mode, setting ISO, shutter speed, and aperture, and the basic functions of strobe lights and wireless sync. If you need an overview of this information, then please register and attend one of the ongoing Intro to Studio Photo Shooting class sessions, which covers these basics to get you started in studio photography. ----------------------------------- wynnesome Thu Sep 22, 2011 1:50 pm Re: July 19: Lighting Practice Session w/ inst + model - w/EVENT PHOTOS! ----------------------------------- We had an excellent session, with participants investigating some setups for incorporating shadowplay and mirrored reflections - challenging concepts! Here are a few images shot and kindly shared by photographer Glenn Robnett during this class session, and posted with his permission. Thank you to Glenn for the images, and to all the session participants including model Hourglass!
