October 18, 2009 - Introductory Lighting Techniques, 10am-7pm, $180
Instructor: Adam Chilson, MM#19554, www.adamchilson.com
Workshops offer instruction, demonstration, hands on practice, and shooting for control of lighting, shadow, and set creation.
Styling is provided by MUA/bodypainter Lisa Berczel of Battledress Paint-n-Body to complete the polished look of the images shot within the workshops.
All workshops are limited to eight photographers, with registration by advance payment.

We are SOLD OUT for the 10/18 Introductory Lighting Techniques session.

I didn't do anything as awesome as Alex's raygun effect, but got a few cool poses in the Zentai suit, and one semi-abstract nude I like quite a lot.

Images of Siam, also our model for the November 1 session.
We really went through a range with Siam, from glamour nudes to artistic nudes, to dynamic flying hair shots, to a dramatic fetish fashion latex set.
All makeup and hair by MUA Lisa Berczel, who is also the stylist for the Nov 1 session.

The workshops typically begin with an overview of published photography as examples. Adam presents an analysis of how to "read" the lighting being used in a shot. "How many lights are in this picture?" becomes our mantra!
